Get in Touch with Brad
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida with a Master's in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary and an undergraduate background in philosophy — a combination that shaped how I think about people long before I started sitting across from them in a clinical setting.
I've spent my career building a specialization in the areas where people tend to carry the most and say the least. Complex trauma and complex PTSD are at the center of my clinical work, and I've come to understand them not as diagnostic categories but as the body and mind's long record of what it cost to survive something that should never have happened. The people I work with have often spent years managing the aftershocks of experiences that reshaped how they see themselves, how they attach to others, and how safe the world feels to them. That kind of work requires patience, clinical precision, and a willingness to stay in the room when things get heavy — and I take all three seriously.
Grief and bereavement are the other cornerstone of my practice, and in many ways the most personal. My own experience with loss is part of what brought me to this work in the first place, and it still informs how I show up in a session. Grief doesn't follow a schedule and it doesn't respond well to being managed — what it responds to is being witnessed, held with care, and given the space to move at its own pace. Whether the loss is recent or something that's been sitting quietly for years, I'm interested in helping people find their way through it rather than around it.
I also work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, and mood disorders — the conditions that so often coexist with trauma and grief and can become their own kind of weight over time. I'm trained in EMDR and Narrative-Focused Trauma Care , and my clinical approach is shaped by attachment theory, emotionally focused individual therapy, somatic interventions, and narrative therapy.
I'm less directive than a lot of counselors, which tends to surprise people at first. I'd rather listen long enough to understand what's actually happening — in your body, in your relationships, in the patterns you've been living inside of — and help you find your own language for it. I believe that people heal inside of relationship, and I take the one between us seriously.
